For the last two years, Rappahannock County High School has been going through a school improvement process focusing on student learning. School improvement is part of the continuing accreditation of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. An onsite review team representing the Southern Association visited RCHS on Nov. 9 and 10 to conduct a peer review of the two-year study.
Members of the team included Chairperson Joyce Wilsher of Metz Junior High, Manassas, Ina Gill of Waynesboro High School, Ron Henson also of Waynesboro High School, and Charlene Root of Fauquier High School. After a thorough two-day review, the team recommended that Rappahannock County High School continue its accreditation by the Commission on Secondary and Middle Schools of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
A faculty/staff leadership team made up of Jeanne Grimes, Chairperson, Beth Gall, Ron Vickers, Brion Patterson, Mike Tupper, and Jack Raines facilitated the two-year school improvement process.
