Washington resident Harris Evans was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society on Nov. 7 at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal. To be selected, a student must have a high academic average and excel in the areas of leadership, scholarship, service and character.

The son of Dr. and Mrs. John Evans of Washington, Harris was honored in a traditional ceremony during Parents’ Weekend at the school, receiving a National Honor Society certificate from Major General Henry M. Hobgood (USAF, ret.), the President of Randolph-Macon Academy.

Randolph-Macon Academy, founded in 1892, is America’s only co-ed boarding school with Air Force Junior ROTC.
