ing success at that particular site. Both women are also assisted in the daily routine by Mrs. Atkins, a cornerstone of the special education department.

We currently have several students working after school, some in jobs that they have secured on their own, and some that are direct outgrowths of their transition program positions. We hope to soon have several more students working after school, as we have transportation to enable them to get home after the school day is over.

The ultimate goal of all these programs is to have our students graduate from Rappahannock and be as independent in the job market as possible. The skills they are learning right now will give them a solid foundation to build on.
