First up, the Amissville Homemakers had their monthly meeting on Jan. 3 with 18 present. Alexandria firefighter and Amissville resident, Darryl Klopp gave a Fire Safety talk and gave a S.A.F.E. home checklist.

Speaking of Darryl Klopp, I wish to extend heart felt congratulations to him and his wife Julie on the upcoming birth of their first child. They are going to be great parents.
