With 325 shares represented by presence or proxy, the shareholders’ meeting of the Rappahannock National Bank was held Tuesday morning in the bank. J. Hill OTJannon was elected chairman of the meeting, with J.E. Wayland secretary. The nine directors were reelected Dr. E.W. Brown, James W. Fletcher, C.E. Johnson Jr., E.M. Jones, John A. Keyser, A.C. Latham, W.H. Massie Jr., D.D. Miller and R.W. Miller. A large car-carrier stopped at the Merrill Motor Company this week, but it left Mr. Merrill only one of the new Fords, a twodoor. Mr. Merrill says he anticipates delivery of four more this month, having Sold six of the new 1950 Fords as fast as they came in. Mrs. Alice Clarke predicts another blizaard. She bases her prognostication on fact that just before the blizzard on Feb. 13, 1898, there was a warm spell just as - there has been these past few weeks. Brook Miller says there’s no reason to expect snow, we had none1 last winter. To fvhich statement A*J. Slaughter informs jiim there were eight snows last winter (Uid 17 the winter before last.
