Blood drive coming to Piedmont
The nursing students at the George Washington CarverPiedmont Nursing Education Center each year promote and assist with a blood drive for this area. This year’s blood drive has been coordinated with the American Red Cross and will be held on Friday, Jan. 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the auditorium at the Piedmont Technical Center.
Representative to visit county
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Jan. 20. ,
Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.
Ms. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension Office from 2 to 3 p.m. Constituents who want to make direct contact with the Winchester office may call Mrs. Crowley at 540667-0990 or visit the office at 110 North Cameron Street.
