The Oscars will be awarded this Sunday night for best films and performances of 1999 that have been nominated by members of the motion picture industry. In January, RAAC presented “The Sixth Sense” nominated for Best Picture, Supporting Actor, Screenplays and Film Editing.
The following movies have'Joeen chosen for Spring and Summer of 2000 with the Academy awards for which they are nominated: ^

April 14 - “American Beauty” - Best Picture, Actor, Actress, Director, Screenplay, Cinematography, Original Score and Film Editing.
April 28 - “Toy Story 2” - Best Original Sound.
May 19 - “Being John Malkovich” Best Supporting Actress, Director and Screenplay.
May 26 - “The Talented Mr. Ripley” Best Supporting Actor, Art Direction, Original Score smd Costume. , ”
June 9 - “The Green Mile”-Best Picture, Supporting 4.ctoi,> Screenplay and Sound. { 4
June 23 - “Tumbleweeds” j Best Actress.
July 14 - “Sweet and Lowdown” Best Actor and Supporting Actress.
July 28 - “The Cider House Rules” “Best Picture, Supporting Actor, Director; Screenplay, Art Direction, Original Score and Film Editing.
Aug. 11- “Topsy-Turvy” Best Art Direction and Costume.
Aug. 25 - “The Straight Story* Best Actor.
