In the compelling and inspiring one woman play, Three Roses, stories of violence and transformation, actress Julie Portman gives voice to the unspeakable, to the acts of violence endured by three young women. Through impassioned storytelling, hope, humor, and mysterious, mythical dreams, all of it inspired by the true stories of these three women. Portman narrates their harrowing but essential look back, and the healing this brings about.

In the dynamic weave of drama and deeply moving stories set to a musical score performed by her husband, Paul Reisler, composer and founder of the music group Trapezoid, Portman’s initially reluctant narrator must become the three women on their journey through guilt, courage and transformation.
