Gospel music program planned
A birthday celebration for Annie Clanagan will be held on Saturday, April 1 at 6 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. A gospel music program has been scheduled. Groups to appear include: The Deane Spiritualair; David Clanagan and The Free Spirit; The Glory Road Singers; Heaven’s Express; The Faith Singers and Heritage Express. All are invited to attend.
Youth Alive to meet
Exciting news for youth, ages 10-18, of Rappahannock and Culpeper areas. Come join Youth Alive of Amissville, an exciting new youth ministry with contemporary Christian music and awesome Bible teaching. Youth alive meets at the Viewtown Store from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 and every second and fourth Saturday. Shooting matches at Castleton
A shooting match will be held every Friday at 7 p.m. at the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company. Rules are 12 gauge shot guns and 36 inch barrels, maximum length.
Boy Scout Troop 36 to meet
Boy Scout Troop 36 meets every Monday night from 7 to 8:30 at the Washington Volunteer Fire Hall. Boys, ages 11 to 17 from all parts of Rappahannock County are welcome to join. For more information call Scout Master Bill Ralston at 675-1038 or Troop Committee Chairman at 675-3679.
Hunt Country Auction planned
The Wakefield Parents' Association is planning its first Hunt Country Auction to be held Saturday, March 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium. The auction will consist of “live” and “silent” auction items, a light supper catered by The Red Fox Inn, and music provided by Rappahannock. Cocktail attire is recommended.
Tickets to the Hunt Country Auction cost $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Sponsor tables for eight guests are also available for purchase. All auction proceeds will directly benefit Wakefield School and its students.
