According to a certified genealogist from Maryland Mr. DeBergh’s grandmother’s uncle was Captain Thomas G. Popham.
In the Gettysburg Battle Company B was led by Captain Thomas Popham and consisted of two officers, three sergeants, four corporals and 31 privates for a total of 40 men.
