Lawrence Foster

Lawrence Douglas “Doug” Foster, 64, of Front Royal died Tuesday, March 14 at his residence.
Mr. Foster was born in Rappahannock County on Sept. 17, 1935, the son of the late William Edward and Gertrude Nichols Foster.
Mr. Foster was a veteran of service in the United States Navy. He was a retired sheet metal worker working in the Washington, D.C. area. He was a member of Sheetmetal Workers Local 101, the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Catherine Cave Foster, whom he married Sept. 5, 1958; two daughters, Tammy Lynn Bolden of Orlando, Fla. and Donna Marie Sullivan of Front Royal and a son, Brian Edward Foster of Front Royal.
Additional survivors include a sister, Frances M. Spain and four brothers, William E. Foster, Howard Foster, Paul Foster and Daniel Foster and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 17 at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Front Royal by the Rev. Jerry Young.
Interment followed at Bennett’s Chapel Cemetery.
Ethel Bailey

Mrs. Ethel Timbers Bailey of Washington died Friday, March 17 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
She was a homemaker and a seamstress.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington and Mary Magdeline Chapter O.E.S. #208 in Front Royal. She was a native of Rappahannock County.
