Greek comedy at RCHS
Rappahannock County High School presents the Greek comedy, “The Birds” by Aristophanes on Friday, March 31 and ^ Saturday, April 1 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is $5 per person and tickets will be available at the door. For more information call Jean Elizabeth at 675-1518.
Representative to visit town
Mrs. Donna Crowley, a representative of Congressman Frank Wolf, will visit the town of Washington on Thursday, March 23.
Mrs. Crowley will be available to talk with constituents who need assistance or have problems of a Federal nature, such as with the Social Security Administration, Department of Labor, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.
Mrs. Crowley will be at the Rappahannock County Extension office from 2 to 3 p.m. Constituents who want to make direct contact with the Winchester office may call Mrs. Crowley at 6670990 or visit the office at 110 North Cameron Street.
Spring event planned
The Washington Baptist Church will hold its annual “Spring Event” during the Fodderstack Race on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the public is invited. For those with an appetite, there will be hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, drinks, baked goods, popcorn and snow corns. For those looking for bargains, there will be a Grandma's Attic yard sale with many quality items. The proceeds from this event will go toward the Church Building Fund.
