Oh, what a Class! The Rappahannock County -High School had an extraordinary graduation for an extraordinary group.
The Class of 2000: ninety-two graduates, twenty-five members of the National Honor Society, fortyeight Governor’s Seal recipients, and the fiftieth class of the combined Rappahannock County High School.
In a packed and sweltering auditorium, this year’s graduates convened for their send-off by school mates, parents and siblings, -friends, grandfolks, uncles and aunts and cousins, and a justifiably proud school system staff and officials.
“You are the best of the best,” said class Salutatorian Rebecca Claire Metcalfe, and the truth of the acclaim is well-reflected in the achievements of class members.
College scholarships, locallyendowed scholarships, awards, regional and national recognition — this class has performed superbly and can be more than satisfied with its performance.
