Mrs. Violet Jennings Welch, 84, of Arlington died Saturday, June 10 at her brother’s home in Amissville.
She was born June 18, 1915 in Virginia, a daughter of the late James John Poe and Mayo Poe.
She was a salesperson for Hechts and a member of Central United Methodist Church in Arlington.
She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Poe of Amissville and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Ray Welch; two sisters, Rena Corbin and Irva Poe and a brother, Raymond Poe.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 12 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton with the Rev. J. Richard Winter officiating.
Burial was in Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
