SURVIVING
For casual acquaintances of the recently deceased, the funeral may bring sharp emotion but it may not linger long after the event. For those family and friends whose lives were -closely- intertwined with the deceased’s, however, the grieving process can be a long journey. In the words of Alice Koller, “To everyone else, the death of that being you love for his own sake, for her own sake, is an event that occurs on a certain day. For you, the death only begins that day. It is not an event; it is a process that lives in you, springing up in the present, engulfing you years, decades, later,- as though it were the first moment again.”
Grieving is a process that takes time and requires patience, a difficult truth to endure when we are suffering the pangs of loss. At the Moser Funeral Home, we urge you to inquire about how prearrangements can make life easier for your family after you’re gone. Call 540-347-3431, 233 Broadview Avenue, Warrenton, 24 hours a day. “Mourning is not forgetting. It is an undoing. Every minute tie has to be untied and something permanent and valuable recovered and assimilated from the knot. ”
