• Finally, the long lost RCHS Alma Mater has been revived and was played and sung beautifully by the RCHS Band and RCHS Student Samantha Breeden at graduation on Saturday, June 10. The song was originally written by former RCHS Music Teacher Mrs. Charlotte Nichols and her students a “few” years back. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Mrs. Lynne Fournier and others, and the funding arranged by Band parents, Ellen and Jonathan Neill-Dore, a band arrangement was written with parts for all instruments. We just keep getting better and better thanks to the talent and hard work of our students and generous friends.

• The next project? Finding funding to have a band arrangement written for the RCHS Fight Song! This one was written by the RCHS Student Council when Mr. Dennis Wingfield was the Principal of RCHS and this writer was a student. • Mr. Chuck Way, RCES Fifth Grade teacher, is proud to announce that his class won the Fifth Grade Tug ‘O War Championship on Field Day! He attributes their success to their “precise strategy” developed prior to the event.
• The Liz Tole Endowment is awarded each year to a staff member from RCES during Commencement Exercises at RCHS. The Endowment was established in honor of a wonderful, dedicated volunteer to recognize a staff member who goes above and beyond the call of duty for the young children of our county. Nominations are submitted by other staff members to recognize one who they feel is deserving, based on dedication, kindness, talent and more. This year’s recipient was Mrs. Harriette
