Graduation exercises held Saturday;
school to end Thursday.
This past Saturday, June 10th marked the graduation
of the Rappahannock County High School
Class of 2000. We’re sure that, following commencement exercises Saturday morning, most of the graduates headed out for well-deserved vacations and revelry.
We urge them, in their celebrations, to behave responsibly. During the past few years our high school students have compiled an admirable record of responsible behavior during tempting times, including prom weekend and graduation.
We congratulate them on their achievements and wish them well in future endeavors. This was a special graduation as it marked the fiftieth annual commencement of the Rappahannock County High School. It was also a large class, 92 graduates; and 48 of those students received the Governor’s Seal (advanced studies diploma - 23 credits - with a 3.0 or better grade point average). They are to be commended!
Rappahannock schools will close on Thursday, June 15 with early release at 11 a.m. Childreii will • begin their summer vacations and we wish them all a busy and fun-filled summer.
