The beginning of another 4-H year is here, and it is filled with wonderful exciting opportunities for all youth and adults of our community. We „ are very excited to have three new 4-H clubs this year.
They include:
• A 4-H Sewing Club under the adult leadership of Barbara Wheatley will meet Sept. 18, after school, in the Extension Office.
• A 4-H Hiking Club under the adult leadership of Lisa Pendleton.
• A 4-H Rabbit Club under the adult leadership of Becky Thorpe and Hazel Zinn-Day.
Following are the meeting dates for our 4-H clubs in September:
• 4-H Cooking and Crafts Club (ages 9-19) - TBA, 3:30 p.m., Extension Office. Volunteer Leader: Vickie Miller.
• 4-H Tally Ho Horse and Pony Club (ages 9-19) - Wednesday, Sept. 5, 4:30 p.m., Extension Office. Volunteer Leaders: Kim Nelson 937-7326 and Eileen Kelly 937-8275.
• 4-H Dog Club (ages 9-19) - TBA. Volunteer Leaders: Elizabeth Johns 987-9040 and Lisa Reid 987-9027.
• 4-H Nature Club (ages 919) - Tuesday, Sept. 11, 3:30 p.m., Extension Office. Volunteer Leaders: Roger Andrews 987-8974 and Bruce Jones 675-3152.
• 4-H Shooting Sports Club - Wednesday, Sept. 12, 7 p.m., Extension Office. Volunteer Leader: Stan Dye 937-5698 (after 4 p.m.).
• 4-H Junior Club (ages 919) - Thursday, Sept. 13, 3:30 p.m., Extension Office. Volunteer Leader, Bill Welch 675-3097.
