Mrs. Margaret Ann Wayland were introduced to the crowd as their banners took their place on the “District Champions’ Wall.” Mrs. Johnson commented on those past champions and how proud she and the entire community are of today’s champions.
Following the remarks by Mrs. Johnson, the Boys’ Soccer Team from last season was recognized for it’s Bull Run District Championship, along with the girls’ softball team.
All 13 of last years’ softball players watched with pride and excitement as their Region Championship and State Championship banners were unveiled. Their excitement peaked with wild screams as a 4’ x 8’ picture of the State Champions was unveiled and took it’s place on the gym wall.
