Winding, graceful, channels surrounded by the reeds snake along the shoreline, creating little island-beads. They bend along the meadows, meander here and there, without a stringent plan at all, with an independent air... Peeking out of rustling rushes, and hiding now and then, water-blue mirrors azure-blue, then disappear again. Then all flow together, a river is almost made, flowing past frag mites tall, and lapping in their shade... Parading sea grass marches with a tune of rustling leaves. And moaning all the while, a waning tide that grieves the high noon’s bright attention to its waterway, while making sparkling diamonds fall, , pay homage to the day... Minnow’s schools in muddy flats that glisten from the sun, swim and dream their rainbow dreams, while on the constant run from seagulls diving beaks that seek them as a meal, like a high-speed, diving squall - with a harrowing high squeal... Heron’s home for the summertime, a long way from home, pincher-crabs and mussels, both roaming in the foam; that briny froth that's frosting to the waters edge— that tickles winding cattail halls, and licks wild rose’s hedge... The Egret’s nest that’s gone to rest along the sandy shore; the pilings rot, the old boats not....are things to be no more, however, Mother Nature has a plan: thus far to be renewing: Each glorious day, the meadows play from Her imaginations musings...
