pie living in this county and there are only 275 miles of road. My dad just adopted a two-mile length of road and now I am part of the cleanup crew. The minimum length one may adopt is two miles, a good walk, but not too much work.
Cleanups don’t need to be done alone either, helpers can be recruited and it can be fun. Property values will rise if there is not trash on the road.
VDOT provides blaze orange vests and “Cleanup Crew Working” signs. To make it easier VDOT provides bags and they will pick up the bags as well. If you are interested in adopting a stretch of road call Kevin S. Williams at 347-6441.
