Residents of the town and Rappahannock County, dressed in Colonial costumes will be performing as Colonial Dancers during several performances throughout the afternoons of Saturday, Dec. 8 and Sunday, Dec. 9.
The dancers have bepn practicing for months, perfecting each step.
Saturday morning brings the annual Christmas Bazaar by Hearthstone School beginning at 10 a.m. in the Trinity Episcopal Church Parish Hall in the center of town.
Saturday afternoon, Sunnyside Market will host a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. for . Tanya Richey, a local artist with national prominence, who is being honored for a commissioned painting of Sunnyside Farm which will be hung in the market.
Meanwhile, Colonial Dancers will be dancing the afternoon away in the Town Hall with candlelight performances at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7 p.m. On Sunday, their performances are at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.
