Edmund Burke, 86, of Boston died Saturday, Nov. 17 at Warrenton Overlook Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was bom Jan. 19, 1915 in the Boston area of Culpeper County to the late Oscar Edmund Burke Sr. and Minnie Compton Burke.
Mr. Burke was a charter member of Salem Ruritan Club. He was formerly a deacon and treasurer of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Mr. Burke is survived by a daughter, Joyce B. Bennett and her husband, Emerson of Boston; two grandsons, Edmund Bennett of Boston and Joseph Bennett of West Hills, Calif.; a great-grandson, Kristdpher Bennett of West Hills and two nieces, Patsy Butler of Boston and Faye Hoskins of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include great-nieces and cousins.
Mr. Burke was predeceased by his wife, Virginia Weaver Burke and a brother, J.B. Burke.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Nov. 19 at Found and Sons chapel with Pastor Dallas Smith officiating.
Interment followed at Fairview Cemetery.
