doubt they include the hundred plus children who participate in the recreational soccer league each season or our little league and girls softball or the new rec basketball program.
We probably won’t get any points or trophies for those programs though they are all shoestring operations run by parents and other volunteers.
I’d like to see more support for these established programs that have a base and history in the community. I’m afraid if we start adding expensive new sports programs willy-nilly, it will be at the expense of what we already have.
