• Basketball season for the WCDS Boys teams started* last week, with the boys playS ing two games. Friday’s game was a scrimmage against" Royal Christian Academy,which was a good workout feu* both teams. On Saturday, thk boys traveled to Rappahannock High School for scrimmage games for boll?

• Wakefield Country Day School students enjoyed an extra day off last week for the* Thanksgiving break. School was closed Wednesday, giving; the international students am extra day to travel home,: While many families traveled to other homes to enjoy hornet cooked meals, some Wakefield) families will be serving others this holiday.
The Salvation Army, as well as many area churches,served food to the less fortun nate, and interested families' helped make this holiday medl* more meaningful for others. At this time of trouble and uncer»J tainty, it is always a blessing to know that the people in this community will open th^if arms and care for those wHtt are alone or in need.
• WCDS sent 16 student^ this year to Richmond to attend and compete in the Virginia Junior Classical League competition. Next week's column wj]¥ highlight the students' achievements there.
