Presidents’ Day
closings announced
All Rappahannock County government offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 18 for Presidents’ Day. The Rappahannock Public Schools will also be closed.
The Rappahannock National Bank and F&M Bank will also be closed on Feb. 18.
Lenten services
to begin Feb. 20
Washington Baptist Church will host ecumenical services for Lent, beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 20 and continuing each Wednesday through March 20. Other churches participating are the Flint Hill Methodist, Sperryville Methodist, Reynolds Memorial Baptist, St. Peter’s Catholic and Trinity Episcopal.
This year’s theme is: Out of the Ashes: Confidence at the Cross Roads.
A fellowship “pot-luck" dinner at 6:15 starts each gathering: the Lenten service begins at 7 and ends at approximately 8 p.m. Nursery care will be available at no charge. Everyone is cordially invited and welcomed.
