AREA SERVICEMAN
Progressive utility company in Bowling Green, VA has (2) job openings for the position of Area Serviceman. Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma). Additional electrical courses are desirable. Must have obtained a minimum of 1st class lineman or journeyman lineman. One job opening requires the candidate to work from place of residence and live within the Brokenburg Area of Spotsylvania, and the other requires the candidate to work from place of residence and live within the Cuckoo area of Louisa County. Must be willing to receive materials and 'supplies to be used in the day to day duties and house company vehicle at home residence. Must be able to interpret system maps, staking sheets and other work order procedures required of the job. Must have an effective knowledge of construction specifications and National Electric Safety Code requirements pertaining to line construction. Must be able to climb and perform assigned duties. Will require after hours work. Must maintain a valid commercial driver's license.
