Jean Hackley Burner, 72, of Amissville died Friday, Feb. 8 in Amissville.
She was bom Sept. 7, 1929 in Rappahannock County, a daughter of the late Johnie J. Hackley and Bertie Dodson Hackley.
She was an active member of the Amissville Baptist Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School, worked with the Bible School and was a former member and held offices in the Women’s Missionary Union of the church.
She is survived by her husband, H. Nelson Burner; a daughter, Faye Davis and her husband, Mike of Stafford; one brother, James T. Hackley and his wife, Alice of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Doris Sealock of Amissville and her husband, James; a grandson, Corey Davis and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Amissville Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Edward Taylor II and Rev. John Farrar.
Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of the arrangements.
