The Panther grapplers and the Varsity cheerleaders will prepare all week for their Bull Run District competitions coming up over the next two Saturdays.

Tuesday night, Feb. 5 was not a kind night for the Panthers as both varsity and JV teams lost to Brentsville District High School. Jeff Ritenhour led the scoring for the Varsity Panthers with 14 points.

Friday, Feb. 8 was a little more festive for the varsity players as Coach Todd Purdham wished his senior’s farewell by presenting them with school blankets in front of a packed gym. The team gave a valiant effort against a much bigger and better team in the loss to Clarke County.
The Athletic Department wants to wish our seniors the very best they are Jeff Ritenhour, Phillip Thomas, Jamie Keys, Chris Brown and a special thanks to scorekeeper Lori Schwertfeger.

Junior Varsity played in the First game and it was a real barnburner. The game was close right from the beginning as the Panthers are hot after a berth in the district championship race. The half-time score was 3029 with Clarke County on top. The Panthers decided they needed to win in the second half and they did.
