Rappahannock residents, Sean and Heather Marsh of Woodville try the Thornton Hill race course in preparation for the March Point-to-Point which will be held there on March 5.
Washington Fire Department received a check for $2,000 from the Ladies Auxiliary at the annual Firemen's banquet held Friday evening at the Trinity Episcopal parish hall in Washington. Mrs. Ruth Clark presented the check to Rev. Jennings Hobson on behalf of the Ladies.
Boy Scouts of Rappahannock held a "Show and Do" demonstration Saturday. Amissville Troop 50 set up a display depicting their campsite of a former camp out and were judged the best entry. The scouts seized Subject material and set up the display without assistance from Scoutmaster Clarence Dodson. Among the group Were Lee Anderson, Rusty Settle, Dean Lawrence, Robert Priest, J.B. Carter and Mark Paul.
