He has also recently received the Fairfax County Park Authority’s “Citizen Award” for his efforts to save the Chantilly Battlefield.
At the meeting Mr. Hall will detail some of the latest issues facing his Civil War battlefield preservation work— which is so important if we are to preserve our heritage—and discuss ways interested community members can get involved.
Mr. Hall will soon publish Sabers Across the Rappahannock: The Battle of Brandy Station, June 9, 1863, a tactical analysis of this epochal cavalry engagement.
A Marine combat veteran of the war in Vietnam, Mr. Hall serves as Senior Managing Director for Decision Strategies, the largest independent provider of investigative consulting services in the world. Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Hall served as the Regional Director for Criminal Investigations, at the U.S. General Accounting Office in Denver, Colo., where he received the prestigious U.S. Comptroller General’s “Distinguished Award for Meritorious Service.”
Prior to this service, Mr. Hall was detailed for over a year as Chief Investigator for the U.S. House of Representatives Iran/Contra Committee.
He also led the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee investigation of unauthorized disclosure issues related to the Charles Keating/Savings and Loan Ethics probe, as well as other sensitive ethics and classified intelligence investigations for Congress.
