This year’s competition received the highest number of entries ever, 3392 wines from 645 wineries. Gray Ghost’s Adieu has won in the Los Angeles bounty Fair every year it has been entered.

Gray Ghost’s Adieu has won seven accolades this year, awards received in every competition it has been entered. Those accolades are: “Best in Class” and Gold in the San Diego National Wine Competition; Gold in the Riverside International Wine Competition also in California; Silver in the Tasters Guild International and Finger Lakes International, and Bronze in Virginia’s Governor’s Cup wine competition.

McCarthy to speak

at July 15 meeting

County Administrator John McCarthy will report on his testimony to the Bolling Commission and discuss the Virginia General Assembly’s pending legislation of sewage sludge at the next Rappahannock League Environmental Protection meeting on July 15.
