hluemont senes continues
The Bluemont 2002 summer series will continue on Saturday, July 6 with The Legendary Orioles at the old Warren Green in downtown historic Warrenton Requested admission is $5 per person, $3 for Bluemont friends and seniors and $1 for children under six. Demolition Derby set
Applications are now being accepted for the Demolition Derby to be held Saturday, Aug. 24 during the Page Fair in Luray. Drivers must be 21 years of age. Cars may include any American made stock, hardtop automobile or station wagon. Official entry blanks are available by calling 743-4949. The fair runs from Aug. 18 through Aug. 24.
Culpeper Regional events set
The following events are scheduled for the month of July through Culpeper Regional Hospital.
On July 9 Desktop Yoga will be offered from 6 to 7 p.m. and is a very popular class because it works! On July 10. Siblings will be the topic. Bring your children (three years of age and up) to this class to receive good advice about being the older sibling. The class will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
Prepared Childbirth will be the program beginning July 11. This six-week course held on consecutive Thursday evenings is taught by a certified childbirth instructor, and is encouraged for all parents-to-be. Infant CPR classes will be held on July 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. This is not a certification course for professionals, but is important for those who care for babies. Disability Services Board to meet
The next meeting of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Disability Services Board will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at the Madison County Social Services Building at 101 South Main Street in Madison. The organization serves Rappahannock and surrounding citizens. For information call 829-7450.
