“Nc Ordinary Person,” an evening of rich storytelling by members of the community now in its eighth year, was performed on Saturday evening at the Ki Theatre on Gay Street in Washington. This year's production, entitled “Memorable People in the Lives of Seven Storytellers,” touched chords of both the serious and not so serious, but all fun to an enchanted sold-out crowd. The stories told— all true in the lives of these people—included such topics as a young school girl’s revenge for a nerdy friend, monsoon rains in India, "working" for a Spanish domestic in your own household, a patient old-world violin professor, a young girl growing up in pre-war Berlin learning how to ride a horse from a brusque but in the end fair trainer, experiences of a homeowner with a snake in her bathroom, and one woman’s indefatigable and loving “favorite aunt.” Storytellers in this play with seven “acts" were from left: Renate Ruzich, Patty Hardee, Joyce Abell, Jane Coon, Sallie Morgan, Mary Carlson and Carla Theo.
