More than one million high school students in secondary schools worldwide took AP Exams and 15 percent performed at a sufficiently high level to merit designation as an AP Scholar.
Nine of these students of distinction graduated from Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly in June and of the nine, six hail from the Rappahannock County area.
Maureen Dale of Luray Stephen Dowell of Castleton and Elizabeth Williams of Winchester achieved the rank of AP Scholar with Distinction, having received an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and a grade of 3.0 or higher on five or more of these exams.
