about the men I knew in the Army, especially the foreign nationals who I trained with in the “International Platoon.” It was a good experience for me. and I am proud to have known them.
They were not American cit izens, and it is ironic that they ended up fighting a war that many Americans opposed.
On their return from honor able service in Vietnam, these men, too, should have been offered American citizenship.
Or in the worst case, that they got more from their “adopted country” than their name on the Wall at the Vietnam Memorial.
