Wakefield Country Day School’s girls’ basketball team defeated SVCA 35-28 in the opening DAC contest on Nov. 30. Chantel Paul led the way with 19 points and Jordan Hammelman added 10
WCDS defeated Fresta Valley Christian 39-22 on Dec. 6. Hammelman scored 18 points and Paul added 17. WCDS is now 4-2 on the year.
Boys’ basketball
Wakefield’s boys’ basketball team dropped the nightcap to the Patriots 85-56. Sophomore Patrick Dale led the Owls with 28 points while Jesse Paul contributed 17.
