She was bom to William Amos Atkins and Rosa Berry Atkins on Nov. 29, 1925.
Mrs. Green was the widow of Everette W. Green and raised her family single handedly. She retired as a bookkeeper, enjoyed gardening, reading, embroidering and was a member of Alum Spring Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Elaine Griffith and her husband Frank of Boston, Gerald Green of Asheville, N. C., Billy Green of Boston and David Green and his wife Michelle of Reva.
Additional survivors include a sister, Marie Vuncannon of Mane, N.C. and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her husband, Everette W. Green, two sisters and two brothers.
A graveside funeral services was held Dec. 7 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jefferson ton, Va., with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
