The xA and xB both use a modified Echo platf orm and each are fitted with its 108-horsepower 1.5-liter four-cylinder powerplant and your choice of a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic. The xB, however, gets the nod for most controversial design. If it’s a deliberate move on Toyota’s part to develop iastant on-the-street recognition, it certainly works.
