Mrs. Ray Frazier, accompanied by Mrs. Henry Wharton and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville and Miss Brenda Frazier of Culpeper were shoppers in Fredericksburg on Saturday.

cated today.

The store was the “social center” for the Estes area in those days. I will always remember Edna Mills, who ran the store most of the time, since her husband Jim, worked another job. She was a very interesting person who liked people. It was not uncommon for one to stop for a soft drink and wind up spending a couple of hours talking with her.

Mr. and Mrs. Mills are deceased and the store has been closed for a number of years. The community however will never forget the good service and the many happy times spent at that place.
