Jamie Jamieson of SperryVille, who died Dec. 8, 2003 at the age of 97 made much of this possible. Along with his generous contribution of $10,000 after his death, he gave much to the library while still alive. He helped establish “Friends of the Library” in 1974 and served as its chairman.
In a letter to the editor of the Rappahannock News last December Grace Sims wrote, “Friends” is dedicated to helping Rappahannock County Library in all ways and in particular provides financial assistance.
