Festival Choral
Evensong
Beginning at 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 6, the Grace Church Choir and baritone, David Faircloth under the direction of Samuel Carabetta, organist and choirmaster will sing Festival Choral Evensong. Sung in the beauty of candlelight, the service will include works of Bach, Candlyn, Stanford and King.
David Faircloth, WETA 90.9 FM radio’s night-time music host, brings extensive musical knowledge and experience as a performer and teacher to evening classical music listeners.
The guest preacher for the service is the Rev. Dr. Victoria R. Sirota. Sirota is Vicar of * Church of the Holy Nativity (Episcopal) in Baltimore and adjunct professor of Sacred Music at the Ecumenical Institute of Theology at St. Mary’s seminary and university. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, Boston University and Harvard Divinity School, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Bunting Institute of Radcliffe College.
