The intersection of Fodderstack Road and Route 522 has a severe sight distance problem resulting from the presence of a house on the southwest comer.
Limitations need to be placed on the number and size of trucks to be more compatible with the size and nature of our roads.
Trucks larger than single unit (30 feet) trucks should be restricted as a proffer. Otherwise, a serious safety hazard will be created at these intersections.
With a little more effort, the Board can do the right thing — put the Aileen plant back on the tax rolls, create new jobs, and protect the adjacent community.
