The former Aileen Plant near

Flint Hill is under contract to be sold by Rappahannock County to M.T. Puskar Construction Company for use as offices, and contractor warehousing and storage.

There has also been mention of the possibility of limited retail sales for lumber and other building materials. The county is in the process of changing the zoning from Industrial to Commercial General as part of this transaction.

The proposed use and buyer can be a welcome neighbor and resident in Flint Hill in the county, provided the necessary restrictions are in place to protect our rural residential neighborhood.

Last week the Rappahannock Planning Commission held its hearing on this application and recommended approval to the Board of Supervisors.
