Ask the Wallers what drew them to Rappahannock County and Wayne Waller is quick to tell you — fate.
The couple enjoyed finding out-of-the-way places, and were looking for a bed-andbreakfast in the mountains or near Williamsburg, Va.
They made a two-day reservation at Blue Knoll Farm in Estes. The trip ended up being four days instead of two, and the couple flew back home to Lancaster, Calif, the proud owners of what would eventually be their own B&B in Sperryville.
“Moving here was a culture shock,” admitted Dot Waller but her husband, Wayne, quickly inteijected, “a positive culture shock, we love it here.”
Eileen Yilmaz graduated from Rappahannock County High School, and has returned home with her husband, Lucky, a native of 'Rirkey.
“We just needed to come back here,” said Eileen, “we love it.”
The couples are not limiting their efforts to bakery items. They also specialize in small to moderate catering — approximately 200 people.
