“Ray ” at The Theatre Jamie Fox was nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of the musical genius Ray Charles. The movie shows this Friday at 8 p.m. at The Theatre on Gay Street. It is sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community.
“Carsie” sings Local singer and songwriter Carsie from Rappahannock will be at Mountainside Market in Sperryville on Friday, Feb. 4 from 8 to 9 p.m. Carsie’s lyrically clever songs are folk with blues, funk, jazz and indie rock influences, infused with rhythmic guitar and soulful honeyed vocals. There is no charge, but contributions will be gratefully accepted to help with the cost for album production.
