During the eight-and-ahalf years I was on council, daily water use in town ranged between 25,000 and 35.000 gallons a day, with the average gradually increasing in that range.
If I understand the proposed design, the 80,000 gallon a day proposal means there will be an increased capacity over current needs of 45.000 gallons a day. If an average house uses 200 gallons a day, that will support 225 new houses, probably tripling the population of the town.
Alternatively, considering that The Inn at Little Washington uses roughly a third of the town’s water, 45,000 gallons a day could support four additional inns. I question whether either the houses or the inns are real
