Gospel concert
Calling Levi will be in concert at Amissville Baptist church at 11 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 6 at the 11 a.m. worship service. They are gifted vocalists who have ministered in over 15 countries and all across the United States. Their desire is to glorify God and draw people into his presence through their inspirational music and encouraging personal testimonies. There is no charge and a love offering will be taken. Blood donation drive
The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive on Feb. 7 from 3'p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hazel River Assembly of God, Culpeper. Your blood saves lives! Please mark your calendar and plan to donate. Remember to drink lots of fluids — water or juice are best — the day before and the day of the blood drive. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and fatty foods. To give blood, you must be generally healthy, 17 years of age of more, and weigh at least 110 pounds. For further info, call the Red Cross at 825-8611.

Center for Civil War History

An inaugural luncheon will be held at Rappahannock County High School at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 12 celebrating the creation of the Center for Civil War History created by Lord Fairfax Community College.
A lecture entitled “Southern Women: What They Meant to the Confederacy” will be given by director Jonathan A. Noyalas followed by a question and answer period.
Cost for the luncheon/lecture is $20. Pre-registration is required.
