Come to one of their ‘soup and soul’ or in this case ‘tea and soul’ gatherings at the homes of local artists, authors, musicians or photographers.

Fashioned after the French salons, groups of creative souls gather, share food and drink, and spend an afternoon or evening learning about one of Rappahannock County’s many talented residents.

During a recent February weekend, Flint Hill photojournalist Richard Lykes had 100 visitors to his home on Fogg Mountain. Lykes had his future living room^dining area temporarily set up as a private theatre where guests sat comfortably while viewing slides of Lyke’s photography and learning about his art collection.

“1 focus on the positive and things beautiful,” reflected Lykes who is a major contributor to the Rappahannock News.
