ENGINEER# CMD042 Fauquier County Government is seeking to fill this full time permanent position with Community Development. This position will be responsible for performing technical engineering work; hydrologic, hydraulic, and technical review of Subdivision Plans, Site Plans, and Construction Plans; enforcement of applicable programs, codes, and ordinances; and inspection of active project sites. This position will also provide technical assistance to internal and external clientele and coordinates directly with government officials and other agencies. Qualified applicants should have a BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or closely related fields. A minimum of four years of previous experience and/or training that include civil engineering, land development, water resource management and erosion/sedimentation control. This person must possess the ability to obtain Virginia Professional Engineering (PE.) license. The minimum starting salary is $53,050. The position is open until filled.
